I'm sitting in Lances car going on 9 hours right now and I
seriously going to have a melt down any moment now!!!

We decided to have a nice Thanksgiving getaway and I guess everyone else thought to go to Vegas too! So we got on the freeway around 11am to go home and it was stopped up already so we decided to stop for lunch... Well it's 9:15pm and we still have about 2 more hours to go...

The only thing saving my sanity is that Isabella is at Nanas house and not in the car with us! Two kids is all I could handle right now.. Or someone would be injured right about now! LOL...

So if you don't hear from me in the morning... That's why and I now have to go pick up isabella since it got to late tonight.

Phantom of the Opera was soooo not worth all of this madness!!!

Hope everyone had a much better Thanksgiving weekend!!! I'm going to try and put this past me and get excited about Christmas now...

Speaking of that, if you haven't ordered you kit yet, now that the busy weekend is over, now is your chance before they are all gone!! My goal is to get all the kits that are ordered by this Thursday out by Friday morning so you can get them in your hands!

December Kits update...

I knew I forgot some details...

First off... Both of the Main Kits come with more MICA SNOW!!!  I forgot to put that in the pictures but I have so much left over, there is enough for everyone to get some!  I used a LOT of it on the projects this month so you will have plenty as well!

Secondly, It's hard to see but in the "A Very Vintage Christmas" - Main kit, there is a red&cream trim in the middle of the picture that is partly over the Jenni Bowlin label paper... That trim is real BELGIUM VINTAGE TRIM!!!  I found this lady on www.etsy.com who sells ribbon and trims and actually lives there so she sent this to me with some other trims and it is absolutely GORGEOUS!  You are NOT going to want to miss out on this trim!  You can see it in more detail on the album I did for Clear Scraps:

 

It's at the top above the embossed stamp that says "Love conquers all..."  Anyways, it's the first thing I bought for this "Very Vintage Christmas" kit and I've been holding onto it for a while, waiting to share it with you ladies!  Believe me, this kit is packed with GREAT stuff but this trim ALONE is why I would buy this kit!~ lol...

Lastly, Did I mention I had another Etsy friend make those adorable Music Sheet pinwheels for me?  She HAND MADE EACH ONE WITH LOVE AND TENDER CARE!  This is another item I've had for a while that I couldn't wait to share with you!  She really took her time  making these, making sure she had the edges trimmed with a nice pattern, folding it and glueing it all together.  They are just BEAUTIFUL and another special embellishment in this kit!  The music paper she used is also VINTAGE and she said she didn't have much left over after making these~!  By the way, they are very sturdy, which I'm not sure how she did that, but they going to be perfect for your Holiday layouts or projects!

I'm busy uploading the contents of each kit onto the website and will get the gallery together tonight as well!  Wish me luck, because I've also been making carmel bars for Thanksgiving, have to pack all of us up, take the dog to the sitter and so on and so on....

December Kits are up!

This is a GREAT day to go shopping right?  I have just listed the December kits over there <----- so go check them out!  I'm soooo excited to bring them to you and would LOVE to here what you think of them!

Most of the kits this month are centered around my "A VERY VINTAGE CHRISTMAS"  theme.  I have been planning this kit for a long time and have some GREAT things to bring to you this month!  There are also a LOT of extra Add-ons this month!  Some are based on projects I've done with the Very Vintage Christmas kit and some are just a great assortment of scrapbooking products and vintage finds!

The "Merry &  Bright" kit will be updated once the Webster's Pages product arrives.  There was a delay in shipping them to me because they were waiting on a paper that was out of stock.  Unfortunately, I didn't know this and would have had them ship it to me without the one paper so I could have it to show you... So, once I receive the papers and trims, I will update this kit so you can see the full kit. 

Here is a sampling of some of the fun layouts and projects my Design Team and I have created for you this month!  A couple of these will have instructions included or on the website:

 

This is such a wonderful VINTAGE layout designed by Melanie S.  The light turquoise paper is actually in the VVC kit, it's just the other side of one of the Prima papers!

Here's a close-up of the banner I made.  You will notice a kit that will include the shadowbox and wood elements I used to make this.

  

This is a "Tussie Mussie" I made that you will get instructions for in the VVC - Grab Bag kit!  This kit will include a miscellaneous mix of things that I had odd numbers of.  It will also have the chipboard sheet to make this Tussie Mussie and some great vintage goodies like the vintage sheet music!

Hi everyone!  I wasn't sure what I was going to post today until two seconds ago. ..

THIS IS WHAT I AM SOOOOO LOVING TODAY:

 

This was a layout Melanie S. just sent me two minutes ago!  Can you believe my talented Design Team?  I mean they just  ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And she sent me three other ones that are just as amazing! 

So, this is from the "Very Vintage Christmas" kit that I have decided to REVEAL TOMORROW!!  I am going to work hard to get both kits up on this blog tomorrow so you can have a heads up on the December kits!  With the Thanksgiving Holiday in just two days and with us being gone until Sunday, I decided to give all of you an early jumpstart on the December kits!

Thanks to everyone who is thinking and praying for Isabella.  The doctor did give her antibiotics yesterday because she said has Bronchitis!  I knew it was getting worse, not better, so I guess it's time for medicine.  I just hate how the antibiotics seem to make her catch more things and it's a cycle she has a hard time getting out of....  I just pray that she will be o.k. and no-one else in the family will get it!

So, I'm going to go finish the decorating around the house with the girls and start getting ready for our trip.  I will keep in touch either tonight or tomorrow...

I hope all of you are enjoying this time at home with your kids this week!  We have had fun decorating the house and today is going to be anothert MAJOR work day around the house.  This is fun work though when the kids are excited to put things up and see how they are decorate their rooms and get sooo excited when they see their favorite decorations for years past!  I've never decorated BEFORE Thanksgiving but I can say that it really makes me GRATEFUL for this time of year and the time spent with our family.  I also feel like doing this now will help me enjoy all the Holidays more because so much of what needs to be done will already be done and I can focus more of the family and not of the "work" that this season brings me...

Happy 2 days until Thanksgiving... What are you thankful for???

Hi ladies!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend...

I am off to the doctor for Isabella.  She still isn't getting any better and it's deep in her chest now so I think it's time to bring in the doc...  I know she's going to put her on antibiotics, which I HATE, but I think it probably calls for it...  I'll let you know how that goes...

I was busy over the weekend decorating for Christmas!  I've never done it before Thanksgiving but we are going to be gone most of the week this week and I'd really LOVE to come home next weekend with the house already done!  We'll save the tree for next weekend because we always have a "tree trimming" party but everything else will be done hopefully by Wednesday.  That's my goal anyways...

I have some projects I have to get done today for Clear Scraps.  They are coming out with their own book so I have to get some projects sent to them to see if they'll like any for the book.

Ever since my MIL took Isabella to Walmart to have some pictures done while we were in San Antonio last month, she has fallen in LOVE with taking her picture!!! uh-oh...  a little model on our hands...

So, today she is home with me since she still has a little fever so we decided to get out the Christmas decorations and decorate the house!  She wanted to put on her red Chrsitmas dress from last year so I obliged!  Nothing like a photo op for a scrapbooker right???

The girls are going to be sooo surprised when they get home and see all the Christmas stuff out!  It usually takes me about a week to decorate so they'll be sooo excited to help tonight!  I think this calls for a hot chocolate night!

Speaking of those... I have about 5 projects I'm trying to work on for the December kits and I'll try to get some pictures of them over the next few days...  I made a "tussie mussie" with the December VVC papers, I'm trying to finish this Clear Scraps hanging album with the VVC, I'm doing a Christmas Banner right now that I want to hang on my fireplace downstairs and I'm decorating a wooden Christmas house with the other December kit... not sure of the name for that one yet... something to do with sugarplum fairies???  something fun and colorful since that kit is my burst of colors kit!

I just got the "Mixed-up" albums!!!

We just got home from getting our haircuts and dinner and the box from Clear Scraps was on my porch getting wet!  Good news though, everything is fine inside and I will be mailing them out in the morning!!!  I soooo wish I could have sent these ages ago but you will have them soon!  They are packaged up REALLY nicely with all kinds of goodies in them AND and nice instruction sheet that printed up for you based on my notes to them on how I made the original.

I haven't recieved my Websters Pages stuff yet so once I get that, I will put together a sneak peek of the other kit!

I'm  hoping tomorrow if Isabella is o.k. and can go to school (she had a fever yesterday and a little today) I can have a little "Kit Party" and some of my friends can come over to help and go to Barnes & Noble with me!!  I have pictures to show you too!!!

Here's my little "Mail Center" that my hubby came up with:

So, do you get it???  Here's the deal... We wanted to build a "Mail Center" made of wood that would be 100 slots similar in size to these "slots" where I could assemble all the kits.  We asked a friend if he could make one and he sketched something out and said it would be around $400-600 dollars!  I know he would have made a KILLER Mail Center but I didn't really want to spend that much on it and I was worried about the size and weight of something that big and how or where I would store it when it wasn't in use. So... my dear hubby came home that night and was asking me some questions about how I do the kits and as we were talking he took a USPS box, opened it and said what if.... (and I finished the thought he was having)...  you could stack these USPS boxes on top of eachother and make YOUR OWN MAIL CENTER FOR FREE!!!  OH MY STARS!!  So, I ordered about 200 boxes (and just an FYI... They trippled my order and I have about 600 boxes) and last night I opened about 60 of them and started seeing if they would stack on eachother or not.  Much to my pleasure, they did stack and just to make them a little more secure, I taped each row of 10 together down the back side for more stability!  Is that cool or what????  My plan is to assemble the kits in the boxes and then after they are all assembled, I'll just start taking them out one by one and put them in ziploc baggies!  That's what I'm hoping my friends are up for tomorrow! pretty please :))))  Then I'll set up another 60 and do it all over again!  I'd really like to have room for about 150 kits so I could do it all at once but I don't have room for two tables there.   It still is my guest bedroom and I need to have room for guests... But I'm sooo excited about this and it's going to make it so much easier and a TON less messier in my house!

Let see... what else... Oh.... I don't have the pictures of Isabella from yesterday yet... they were on my iPhone and I haven't done anything with them yet... 

But, I did start decorating for Christmas!!!  Just a little.... Here's my first little area in the house:

 

This is a little table as you walk into the family room that I just put the sleigh arrangement I made a couple years ago and my paper Christmas tree.  I figured since we weren't doing the HUGE Thanksgiving get together at my house this year (kinda yeah, kinda sad) I'd take down the Fall stuff and just start a little early on the Christmas!  My girls have been bugging me for a while since they can't wait to decorate... So, maybe this weekend we'll get some more out and have fun!

I wanted to lastly show you some more examples from my Design Team for this month!  I've really had so much fun checking my mail this month for more DT work and this is what I've gotten this week so far:

 

This is a fun and colorful layout by Christy Sprueill!   I would have never thought to put the blue with it but it really makes it "pop" !  Way to go Christy!

 

This cute "tussie mussie" if from Debra Famularo!  Isn't it just FABULOUS!!!  She's my glitzy altered art girl!  It totally reminded me of my mom and her LOVE of tussie mussies!  I think my mom made about 20 of these last Christmas and sold them at a craft show.  She gave me about 6 of them to put around my house last hear so I will have to get them out and show you!  In fact, Debra inspired me sooo much that I'm making one right now with the December kit and I'll show you as soon as I get it done!

A quick hello...

I had a little program to go to in Isabella's preschool today and I'll post some pictures a little later...  That sad news is that I got there when the teacher told me to be there by and they had already done the program!!!  Can you believe it?  I told her I was going home to get ready and I had to wait for my friend to come over at 9:00am to help with cleaning my house and the kits and what time to I need to be back for the program... She told me to be there before 9:30 and I'd be good.  I got there at 9:25 and they were already onto their craft!  That stinks...  Isabella wasn't too sad about it though so that's good but all I got pictures of was her craft and playing on the playground in a teepee... 

I have to go quickly get my car's oil changed because we're taking in to Lance's Uncles house in Lake Isabella (funny huh ;)- and Las Vegas next week!  Did I mention we were taking the older girls to see Phantom of the Opera the day after Thanksgiving??  Not sure if I did... Then I will come home and package up the winner's goodies and get those shipped off today before I pick up the girls from school!

I have some pictures to share with you from my Design Team too so I'll try to get those on here tonight as well.

Oh.... I almost forgot.... I have two Magazines I'm in this month!   Woohoo.... I'm "tooting" here... wait, that doesn't sound right? lol... When someone get's published in this industry and we want to share we say we're "tooting" (like tooting our own horn...) but it could be mistaken for something else... hehehe... Anyways,  My Swiss Chalet book is in the December issue of Scrapbook Trends this month AND my "Tis The Season" Clear Scraps House Album from last year is in the Dec/Jan issue of Sommerset Memories!  I haven't seen either one yet and I'm tempted to go to Barnes and Noble and look but I don't want to go alone.... Anyone want to come with me??? If not, my hubby will go with me this weekend.  I got a really nice email from Jana, the publisher or Sommerset and she apologized up and down a million times because she wanted to warn me that my name is spelled wrong!  She said that by the time she caught it and called the printer, it was too late.  It's o.k. Jana, everyone always thinks my last name is spelled with a McCu insteal of McCo....  She also told me that there is a sneak peek on my Miley Cyrus album that will be in the next issue after that!  Finally, I'm in a magazine that is in English and I can read!!! lol... The last one was in Dutch and the one before was a inside industry magazine and the one before that was a newsletter and the one before was a book so this is really the first time I'm seeing me in a real magazine that you can buy at the news stands!  So sorry if I'm a little excited... I can't help it!  I encourage ALL of you to send in your work... You never know what they are looking for and you could be next! And, if you do and you've used one of my kits, you can put that on there too!

Well, I'm off for now... Maybe my product will come today!!

ANDREA BOCELLI  LIVE IN TUSCANY,  JULY 18, 2009!

Yup,  I'm going to be there with my wonderful hubby of almost 20 years~!  We've been waiting to find out the date of this concert so we could organize our trip and figure out the dates.  Well, last week I got an email from his website that said there was a pre-sale starting for this concert next summer and they announced the date!  So, we had to wire money for the tickets and we should hear back from them today! My dear hubby went all out and got us the best seats possible and I can't even believe that this is really going to happen!  He gave me a link to the place it's being held, outside of Pisa but I can't seem to find it back... If you're curious about this... It's something Andrea has done for the last 4 years.  Each summer he does a concert in the hills outside of his home town of Pisa. It's at an outdoor arena that they set up and it looks breathtaking... You can check out more on line at:  www.fourone.itor watch the youtube video and others!  Each year he picks a theme and some guest singers and I'm still in shock that this really might be happening!

So, like I said the other day... at the risk of making you wonderful ladies envious... I have to share the travel plans we've come up with so far.  I think most of you know that we traveled with our kids for 1/2 a year and it was a "once in a lifetime" trip that we are so blessed to have gone on and will never forget.  Well, we talked about doing a little "mini" trip back to some places we LOVED but this time by ourselves.  It's wonderful to be in Venice, Italy on a gondola with your family but it just doesn't quite have the same feel as a much more romantic gondolla ride with your hubby of 20 years!  Am I right here??  So, we decided to take a trip just the two of us for our 2oth wedding anniversary which will be next September.  We've saved up our American Express miles for all these years, yes all 20, and now we want to "blow them out" on a major trip!  We plan to go all out for two weeks! 

The plan is to fly into Paris or Milan and see obviously those two places, go up to Lake Como for a few days, take a boat ride around, rent a speed boat and I found a beautiful restaurant in Bellagio that gives cooking lessons so we want to do that for a day as well.  Then we'll probably go down through Genoa and into the French Riviera.  Maybe stay there for a few days and hang out at the beach, see Monte Carlo and Cannes.  Then we'll be going up from there through the Italian Riviera toward Pisa and the Andrea Bocelli Concert!  Spend a night there and then make our way up to Venice and see an Opera, ride a gondola by OURSELVES and get lost in the many little alleys and bridges and markets Venic has!  Then from there, we are thinking about this.... Taking the Orient Express Train to Paris!  O.K.... we've all heard or seem movies about the Orient Express and it really is still around!  I was doing some research for the trip on this really great site... www.tripadvisor.comand they had a thread on there about how cool the Orient Express is so I checked it out.  They have several trip itineraries but the one that would work out perfectly for us is the Venice to Paris trip!  It starts in the morning on the first day and then you spend the day on the train going through the Dolomites Mountains of Italy and then through the Swiss Alps and you get to Paris the next morning!  This is mostly my hubby's dream but since he's going on this trip instead of to Tahiti, I'll deal with the 24 hour train ride!  I've never been much for trains and we certainly took enough on our last trip but this one seems pretty cool and who wouldn't feel excited to ride on "The Orient Express" after seeing so many classic movies based on it!  So, after we arrive in Paris, we will stay there for a few nights and then sadly, head home... We haven't figured this all out but it looks like it will be in the middle to end of July!  Now, I have to go through the task of finding what hotels are American Express partners and plan it all!  I'm a planner though so this is going to be FUN!!! If anyone has any travel tips or places you know of that we can't miss, PLEASE let me know!  I'm compiling my list right now and we're trying to narrow it down to fit into two weeks... (it will probably be more like 2 and a half) Shhhh...  don't tell my two moms....(Ty, that goes for you too!)

Needless to say, I'm going to be a little busy next summer and probably won't have a Kit for the months of July and August.  Victoria wants to go to Serve again in Michigan which would be the week after we get home from Europe and I don't know that I want to put my sister-in-law through the kit thing again!  She helped me out BIG TIME last August since I was sick on her couch but this next summer she will have a new baby to take care!  YEAH!!! I can't WAIT for that!!  I get to have a little niece or nephew in my arms soon!!!

I don't know about some of you but I like to use Google Reader and I was trying to see if I could find my blog on there.  But, it didn't come up at all... My name came up on all kinds of other blogs (kinda weird...) but it wouldn't list my own blog!  I kind of figured it was because it was listed as laura mccollough - scrapbook designer... Anyways, now it is on there as my business name so if you want to go to Google reader and try it out for me, let me know if it comes up!  If so, bookmark it so I can have some subscribers!!!  lol...  My SIL Dawn showed me about Google Reader and it's awesome!  I don't' have time to search for blogs and read them all but I have a few on there and it's so easy to see who has updated their blog and it directs you right to them in it's own browser!  It's really cool!  Let me know if I'm on there now...

Finally...

It's almost midnight and I finally have the home computer to myself!  My hubby fixed the safe eyes program that was blocking me from posting and also added some software so I could publish my photos...

But, it gave me a chance to work on some things today that I will show you next week when I reveal the December kits!  I can't wait to show you!!! 

I mailed some kits out today too!  So, if you ordered a kit last week it is in the mail unless you are still waiting on the "mixed-up" album.  Those I should have by wednesday and I will mail those out to everyone as soon as I get them!  I feel bad that there was a delay in getting those to you so I will be adding a little bonus in all of those boxes.

I'm going to be posting this on www.twopeasinabucket.com tomorrow so go check out the inside pages and please vote if you stop by...  You can also see some more detail of the Mica Snow AND our trip to Zermatt, Switzerland!  I did this whole album on the "chalet" we rented in Zermatt and how magical it was there!  If you ever make it to Switzerland, don't miss Zermatt!  It's up where the Matterhorn is and it's such a beautiful and quaint town that it almost doesn't seem real!  The air is so crisp and clear, the mountains so sharp and with the snow everywhere it almost looks like a picture that is so in focus, it's almost "out" of focus... Does that make sense?? 

Speaking of "snow"... I'm going to be using a TON of Mica Snow this Christmas Season and I made a couple tags to show you...

O.k.  I know I said I was going to give you a "sneak peek" at the December kits!  Well, before I do that I have one more picture to share...

Our little Santa!!!  lol.... Scartlet is getting in the mood a little early don't you think?  Well, I think she's thinking she can persuade me to get out all the Christmas boxes and start decorating early this year... She LOVES when I get down all the Christmas boxes so she can go sniff all the little decorations we put around the house! She doesn't know this but I bought her a little Mrs. Santa Claus dress so she can be gender appropriate... (This Santa thing just isn't working on a pretty little dog like her ;)- 

Ok, Ok, I will stop goofing off and show you a "sneak peek" at one of the December kits!  I have to issue a warning though... After you see this you may suffer from acute "Kit Anxiety"...  This Kit is highly contagious and may spread!  But, all you have to do is wait one week and it should go away after you hit the PayPal button and purchase your "Very Vintage Christmas" kit:

 

NOTE:  This is not a complete kit but just a representation of SOME of what will be in the Very Vintage Christmas ~ Main kit and Add-on kit!  There is still stuff arriving at my doorstep daily and I can't WAIT to reveal the actual kits very soon!

As far as revealing the kits... I'm not sure what date I will be doing that.  I know the Thanksgiving weekend is very busy for all of us so I may either do it early, like the day BEFORE Thanksgiving or just wait until after the weekend is over... Not sure but would LOVE to get some feedback on this from you ladies!~ We will be going to my DH's Uncles house for Thankgiving a few hours away from here and then on to Las Vegas the day after to take the two oldest girls to see "Phantom of the Opera"!!! They've NEVER seen the play and Rebecca is fasinated with the movie and music, so we thought we'd surprise them and take them away for a few days!  Isabella is going to stay with the grandparents since it's not really a great place for a little one. (I don't even like Las Vegas for the other two either...) But, we plan to lay out by the pool all day if it's warm enough and enjoy the show at night!  Unfortunately, the time that we are there, the Jonas Brothers are doing a concert there and I have a feeling a LOT of screaming girls are going to be at our hotel!!!  Of course MY GIRLS don't care about the JONAS BROTHERS... (yeah right...) but they already know we aren't taking them to that concert too!  We checked tickets and the nose-bleed section if going for $600!!  Anyone have an "in" with the Jonas bro's???

Well, the day is over and I'm still not in bed... I will reveal the other "sneak peek" in a couple days once I get some more product for that one.... I'm still bummed about the October Afternoon not working out but I orderd the Ting-aling from Websters pages and some Prima Christmas so it's all good...

Monday morning blues...

I was all excited to show you all my projects but come to find out I can't even get on typepad today! I'm doing this right now on my iPhone!!

The home computer has safe eyes on it and is blocking me from posting!! My laptop stayed on for about 5 minutes so that didn't work either.

So. I'm sitting at my scrap table and starting to make a new project for the December kits!

I'll try posting later tonight when nubby gets home and can help figure out the problem!! I can get onto typepad but it blocks me from posting???

Anyways, I'll post some sneak peeks layer too if I can...

A quick update...

I just wanted to post real quickly before I try to get some sleep...

My computer is still not working and right now I'm on the home computer which my hubby spent literally the WHOLE day gutting and restarting everything so I'd have a computer to use!  (yeah... I got a keeper ;)-  I received the RAM card from Dell on Friday which my DH put in that night but we still noticed the problem Saturday morning and it just got progressively worse.  Lance knew it was probably the video card and not the RAM so I called them back and they are backordered on the video cards until FEBRUARY!! Does that tell you something??  Anyways, they are going to send some other video card in a few days that they say should hold me over until the right one can get to me sometime in February, so keep your fingers crossed on that.  I'm going to be doing everything for now on this computer but like last time, my email is not set up on this one so I will be checking my iPhone for that.  I can get my other email on here so if you need to get a hold of me it's :  [email protected] ...

I've had some time this weekend to finish up some things and hopefully I can get those pictures onto this computer tomorrow and show you!  I finished the Mica Snow House album!!!  It turned out really cute and it's so dear to my heart because it's about the little "chalet" we rented in Zermatt, Switzerland on our "trip around the world" !  I can't believe that trip has already been 5 years ago!  Time sure speads by!  Speaking of trips... I have some HUGE news about my 20th wedding anniversary trip next summer!  I'll talk more about that tomorrow...(at the risk of making you jealous.... I'm so sorry.... I can't help it.... We've been saving our American Express miles for the last 20 YEARS for this people!!!)

O.K.  I'm going to try and get some sleep.  Isabella is still sick and I'm not sure if she is ready to go back to school tomorrow.  I missed the whole weekend of the Seussical shows, my parents couldn't come over b/c of her being sick and my dad can't get sick and last night was the last show and a wrap party that lasted until 1:00 am for Rebecca!  I was waiting up until the wee hours for her to come home!  A 10 year old out that late without her mom!  YIKES!!!  Victoria spent the night at someones house afterward and didn't even go to bed until this morning!  So, hopefully this next week will get us back to somewhat normal...

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll chat with you some more in the morning and hopefully show you some pictures!

Friday update...

My computer is still not working and after talking to Dell, they are sending me a new Ram card in 3-5 business days!  Not so great when I need my computer to work NOW!  It crashes on me about every 20 minutes so I will quickly try to do this before it does it again!

I just talked with Jackie at Clear Scraps and they are mailing out the "mixed-up" kits today to me!!!! YEAH!!! So, the day I get them, I will turn around and mail them off to you wonderful ladies who are being so patient with me!!!  I have everything else waiting in your boxes, ready to go so I'm hoping for next week tuesday, wednesday time frame that I can mail them out to you!

Isabella is sick again.  Just pray for her and my sanity!  I could tell in her voice yesterday that something wasn't right.... I can always tell when she starts sounding "horse" that she is getting something and sure enough, last night really late, she woke up saying she couldn't breathe!  She has a tendency to get croup and sure enough... that's what we are dealing with now.  I'm so bummed b/c my parents were coming over for the weekend to see the girls in the show but now they can't.  My dad is very susceptable to infection so they are going to miss the girls in the show!  This is their last weekend and I'm glad to see it end.  I know that sounds bad but this is just WAY to much of a committment for them and for me...  I need a break...I told the girls they can't do the next show because we need to get back to a "normal" schedule!

Some of you are asking about the Mica Snow and how to use it...

It really is just like glitter.  You use the adhesive of your choice depending on the project, and sprinkle on the snow and shake it off and you can also "rub" it off gently to get a finer layer.

 

With this house page, I took Zip Dry adhesive and spread it all over this page with a popsicle stick as evenly and thinly as I could.  Then I put a plate under my project, sprinkled the Mica Snow over the entire house and shook off the rest.  Then I took my fingers and carefuly (I don't want anyone to cut themselves) rubbed off some of the Mica to make it a thinner layer.  It's that easy!

You could also use adhesive Pop Dots, adhesive writing pens, any of those adhesive letters or shapes,  and use the Mica Snow on those!  I made a couple gift tags where I punched the bottom edge with a Martha Stewart border punch, then added some stamps and paper, then covered the whole thing with Mica Snow!  I'll have to take some pictures...  I was also planning on using this on the glass ornaments!  There are soooo many things you can do with the Mica Snow!  Just treat it as glitter and you can use it in endless ways!  I'd LOVE to see what you've done with it so  please email me pictures!  I plan to use it on my Christmas cards this year!  I have SOOOO much left that I'm also including it in one of the December kits!

I am going to try to finish the house album I started so I can show you pictures over the weekend! This week just flew by with everything and I haven't had a chance to do much!  I haven't even seen my scrapbook area in eons!

Remember that computer problem last week?

It's BACK!  If I don't have enough going on.... My hubby noticed the problem this morning when he came into the office.  The screen was all garbled and says  "hardware" or hard drive" on it... He had to turn it on and off 4 times before we could get it on.  So we are in the process of backing up everything as quickly as we can and I though I would try to post on here before it shuts down on me!

I'm going to be on the phone with Dell all day I'm sure!  Just what I have time for right? ;)-

So quickly, late last night I updated the website with some of the class kit instructions.  If you go over there, you'll notice about 6 are listed under the "Instructions" page.  Only 3 or 4 are completed.  I got too tired to finish the rest last night at midnight and figured I'd get the other ones done today... Well, now I'm  not sure about that.... I will try my best to get things done as soon as possible but I don't know if they are going to need my computer or what's going to need to be done to it...

I also wanted to update you on a few things.

1.  The "Mixed-up" albums - I talked with Clear Scraps and they were all set to mail them out last week and found a HUGE problem!  American Crafts sent them the WRONG Thickers!!! So, they told me the other day, they should have the right ones today and they will be mailing them out as soon as they get them!  I'm so sorry for the delay, but there is nothing I can do on my end... I know some of you are wanting these to make for Christmas presents and you should have them in the next week or so, so hang tight...

2. October Afternoon - I REALLY,  REALLY, REALLY wanted to do a December kit with their "Good Cheer" line and unfortunately that is not going to happen!  I'm so sad about this and still want this paper line but they are experiencing difficulties with their adhesive company so they won't have the rubber charms which I LOVE and they are backordered on the chipboard and won't have that either...  The paper won't ship out for at least 2 weeks so I'm in a bind here...  I could wait until they fix all their problems and have this as a January kit but most people don't want it after the fact...

So, I'm thinking of replacing the "Good Cheer" kit with the "Uniquely Chic" kit I was planning on doing.  Here's my idea...

First off... Happy Veterans Day to all of you!  And Thank You to all the men and women who serve this country and have served this country!  I probably am one of the most patriotic people around and even get teary eyed at our patriotic songs!!   So, I hope you are enjoying your day with your family and remember all that this country stands for and what these brave men and women fight for!

I'm a little late on the Love, Tuesday thing because we've been out today...  My oldest daughter had to have braces put on today!!!  She was excited and scared all at the same time and said they didn't hurt putting them on but now she is in some major pain!!  Poor thing, I remember those days and can almost feel the braces on my teeth...  She has to wear them for about 2 years so she's not too happy.  Poor thing can even chew food for the next 24 hours! So we've been busy today trying to keep her occupied and loaded up on soft frozen yogurt, smoothies and such! 

Oh, I wanted to show you pictures from their show, Seussical!!  I couldn't take pictures during the show so I'm bummed about that... But, I got a picture of Victoria during intermission when she was selling raffle tickets...

Then we went outside after the show and Isabella wanted her picture with some of the Characters... (not her sisters though ;)-  So here she is with the Bird Girls...(She didn't even know that those girls were her sisters friends!) 

She was so happy when they did this and then she noticed one feather off of the blue girl on the ground so she quickly picked it up... Then she saw one fly off the orange girl and picked it up, then we found a green feather and a purple feather!  She was tickled PINK that she had a feather from each bird girl!  So, in the next picture you'll see she's clutching them in her hand as she takes a picture with the Cat in the Hat!  (she wasn't crazy about him...)

 

She took those feathers to school the next day and can't WAIT to share them on her share day this Friday and explain all about them!  lol...

So, to get back to Love, Tuesday... I am LOVING this day with the girls.  I've been way to busy lately so it's been really nice to hang out with them today and spend some down time with them.  Nothing planned, except the braces, and we just had fun going to get frozen yogurt, going to Barnes & Noble, and hanging out at home...  We need that some days and especially since they've been saying I've ALWAYS scrapbooking (which really means working b/c I hardly SCRAPBOOK these days)...

Tonight, I will get back to work though and start putting up some instructions on the website!  I will have it in the Class Instructions area and I think it will be a drop-down menu for different ones...  I'll also be emailing everyone with the postcard file so you can print that out.  I'm waiting on the "Mixed-up" album kits to arrive and then the rest of the kits will be sent out!  I think I have about 6 or 7 people waiting on those right now.  Everything else is shipped out!  So, if you DID NOT order a mixed-up album kit, your kit is on it's way or already to you!  I was shocked when one member said they got there's yesterday and I thought I had mailed it in the morning that same day!!!  (I obviously was wrong on the day I sent it...) 

I can't wait to start seeing some projects from you ladies too!  Please remember that I LOVE to see finished layouts and projects you guys make!  Please email me your pictures and I'll put them on the blog sometimes!  Just because I have a design team doesn't mean I don't want to see your work and post if here as well!  Speaking of the DT, I will be showcasing more of their work later this week!  I will put it up on the website in the gallery as well as on here!  I'm going to be featured on a website this week so I will most likely be selling out the rest of the Christmas kits!  If you haven't had a chance to get these yet, I would suggest you get your kit before the 15th! 

One last thing...  My December kits are going to ROCK!  Sorry, I know I'm taunting you but... I got some really cool ideas and some GREAT vintage finds!  I'll have some sneak peeks next week!

OH MY STARS!!!

This last couple of weeks will not be easily forgotten!  I have been so stressed with ALL that I've had to do and having sick kids and getting sick myself has only added to the craziness!!!

I just want to take a minute and apologize to everyone if I have been "out of it" lately!  I know with CYT, the November Kits and being sick, I've neglected things and I really am sorry for that! 

In the hectic schedule of my kids doing the Seussical Show and being out until almost midnight every night, I want to take a minute and thank a dear friend on mine, Suzanne, for being so helpful to me!  She has picked up my kids, driven then to the performances and practices and taken them home for me as well!  I'm so grateful to people like her who have come to my aid and made life a lot easier for me!  I hope I can be as helpful to others as she has been to me this last week and a half! 

I also wanted to say thank you to all of you wonderful ladies who are in my Kit Club!  You ladies are truely the reason why I LOVE what I do each month!  I can honestly say that I KNOW my members are the greatest ladies out there!  You have all been so gracious to me, you've blessed me with such nice comments, been accomodating when I'm a little behind schedule and just truly been so kind!  I haven't had even 1 person complain!  And believe me, I know there might be reason to do so!!!  I have tried to be as organized as possible, making sure I check everything before it goes out.... But, that hasn't always given me a perfect record in that department!!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart ladies!  I love each and every one of you and pray that I will be able to continue to give you the level of product, service and time that you have come to expect!!! 

This next week I am going to work on getting some instructions up on the website for the Class Kits some of you have bought.  I also will put up a little instruction page on the process for the Mica Snow!  It's very messy but very fun!!  I will also be emailing each person who orderd the Christmas Main kit with those instructions along with a file you can print out of the vintage postcards! (forgot to add that to the kit...) I also will announce the winner of the little contest I did for the Christmas Tree I put up on www.twopeasinabucket.com  I got busy with things and forgot about that contest but DON'T want to let that one slide so I will announce the winner tomorrow!  (For those of you who didn't know... I asked everyone to put a comment on twopeas for the tree and I'd pick a winner from the comments list... )

Well, I'm off to go see my daughters in Seussical!  I's so excited to watch them for the first time!!! I tried to go last night with my inlaws but they had to go with Isabella themselves because I was so lightheaded and feaverish...  I feel much better today though and can't wait to see them on stage!

I tried...

Well, I tried to get all three girls in school today.... But, it didn't work!  Isabella still has a tummy ache and we got as far as the class room and she just couldn't make it...  I asked the teacher and she said she had 5 kids out with the flu this week and then i talked to another teacher who said she had 5 kids out with the flu. So it must have spread through the whole preschool!  So, she's back home laying on the couch watching Max & Ruby!  Hopefully, I can get all the kits out today still!  I will work on it as much as I can...

I'll keep you posted later today on my success or failure!

Wish me luck and say a little prayer for Isabella and that my other daughters don't get it!  I stayed up until almost midnight working on the darn star boards and they are STILL not done!  And this morning Rebecca is in a all school Veterans Day program that I'm now not able to go to!  Sick kids is just no fun...

I'm keepin' the faith though!

My friend Felicia is coming over today to pick up her kits and I know she'll put a smile on my face for sure!

UPDATE:  I hate to say this but I didn't mail any kits today!  I have about 20 ready to go but it was not a good day... I won't go into TMI but lets just say, I was "busy" with Isabella all day and it's getting worse, not better.  I couldn't take her out and I couldn't leave her like this with the girls to go to the post office so I'm going to see if my hubby comes home soon enough,  if I can drop them off at the post office so they will at least go out early in the morning.  If not, I will take them in the morning first thing so they go out tomorrow...  sorry ladies...

Quick update...

My computer seems to be behaving right now so I though I would update everyone...

I have the little one home still sick and I'm not feeling great either...  I am trying to get ALL the kits out by tomorrow still and I'm mailing out  the Kit Sale people first.  Those are going to be in BIG boxes and being sent Parcel Post I hate to say b/c the first few I sent out with the shadowboxes came back as needing $29.00 in USPS postage!  YIKES... So, unfortunately, I didn't realize the shadowboxes would be such a pain to ship and I need to not loose too much in shipping charges and send them that way.  So, tomorrow is going to be a big mail day and I'm excited to send everyone their kits so you can start playing with them!

I'm working on the Mica Snow album and will have that done by this weekend so I can show you guys just in time for you to start playing with yours!  I'm also going to try and work on a banner and house for my December Kits this weekend if I have time...

Speaking of time, I won't have much of that for the next week and a half b/c Victoria and Rebecca are in Suessical and today was their first show!  They should be on their way home by now and I'm so bummed I wasn't able to see it but with me sick and Isabella sick, it just wasn't possible.  Tomorrow night is really opening night though so we will hopefully see it then!  I'm still trying to wrap up the "Star Boards" for the show and that's taking me a HUGE amount of time today!

I know a lot of you have emailed me in the last couple days.  I will try to get back to everyone by tonight.  If all goes well with my computer!  I unhooked the cord to the printer from my computer and that has seemed to help...  Who know when I go to hook it back up to print out all the shipping labels!  I do have enough pumpkin kits and "mixed-up" kits for everyone that has asked for them!  I will get to invoicing shortly and answering any questions.

Here's a little bit on them as of now though...

I will have 6 "Pumpkin" - Adore the look of Fall - Album kits!  They will include the album,  Large Bingo Card, flowers, ribbon, defintion stickers, a little paper, leaves, fence and some other small things I can't remember off-hand...  They will be $20.00 but you will need to order the Thankful Main kit or Add-on kit to have enough paper and other embellishments to make this!

 

If you've already ordered your November kits and want to add this, please email me ASAP so I can invoice you and mail this out tomorrow!  I have about 3 available out of the 6...

On the "Mixed-up" Christmas album, I will have 10 kits!  they will be $22.00 and J&J have been nice enought put the kits together and they will include the mixed-up album, the papers, alphabet stickers and some other things BUT.. you will most likely need one of my November Christmas -main kits so that you have the embellishements that I used on my album.  I think they changed it up a little for the VIP program they are doing...  Which, since I am an online store, and have participated in, I'm a VIP girl myself!!! 

 

Oh, this one also comes with instructions!  So email me on this one too.  I WILL NOT HAVE THESE IN STOCK TO SEND OUT TOMORROW!  I will send these out when I get the kits which should be by the middle of next week.  I can wait and ship everything together if you like or mail this kit seperately.  I have about 5 left of these.

So, I will be going through my emails this afternoon after I finish the "Star Boards" and get back with all of you!  If I need to invoice you, I will do that as well tonight and hopefully be able to mail out all the kits that need to go out tomorrow!

computer problems & throw-up...

I'm going to post as quickly as I can because my computer has shut down on my three times now saying I have hardward problems!!!  And the bad news is my home computer's power supply is fried so i can't even use that one either!!!  I will try to get back with you through my iphone if you have a question but this is not looking good...  computer problem again!!!  YIKES!!!  And today I can't even call my hubby b/c he has a MAJOR important meeting he's been preparing for for weeks and I can't interupt.

I was going to go do some errands today to but my little Isabella had a tummy ache and up-chucked when she got out of the car to go to school!  Ya, maybe TMI...  Luckily I keep ziploc baggies in the car and I literally opened that bag, put it under her mouth as it was flowing out!!!  lol... I just made it in time!

Oh, some of you have emailed me about paypal problems... I do still have christmas kits left so I'm not sure what's going on.  That's my next "to do" thing before my computer crashes again!  So, check back and see if it's fixed in a little while!

I completely forgot to post today because I'm frantically trying to finish the kits so I can mail them all out by Friday!  This is also a crazy week because the two oldest girls are in the production of Suessical for the next two weeks and their schedule is a nightmare!  I've also signed up to do the star boards and my printer wasn't working... I need to print out 55 pictures for the star boards and decorate it... I have to be at all the shows helping out with flowers or backstage... And I've got over 100 kits to mail out this week alone!  So sorry about the Love, Tuesday thing... (I also attempted this once and my computer froze!!!)

                                    IT'S ELECTION DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure most of you don't really know my political views and that's o.k.  I'm just VERY patriotic and have been following this election for that last 6 months almost every day!  I take my right to VOTE very seriously so... The other thing I was excited to share with you today is this:

 

This is a mini album done by Norma Kennedy!  It is so beautiful and the fact that is it about "Home" holds a special meaning for her.  You see, her family lost their home to a fire 3 years ago!  They were out of their home for over a year! Home holds a much deeper meaning to her nowdays I'm sure!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends!

I finally got all the product from Pink Paislee this past weekend and I've retaken the picture for the Christmas is coming to "Town" - Main kit!  Want to see???

 

Here it is!!! Don't ya LOVE IT???  The kit is so "Fabulous" and I put the yellow piece of paper at the front so you could see the trees on it!  The kit isn't most yellow though from the picture the yellow does stand out a lot b/c of the tree paper up front.  Overall, the kit is definitely pink and green!  The kit will not have the Jenni Bowlin Victoria Paper after all!  I talked with Jared, Jenni's hubby and he said they won't be getting back in stock for a while.  That is what was holding up my order so he will get the rest of it out to me today!  But, don't you LOVE the Pink Paislee Rub-ons and also the great journaling cards!  There are still some left so go check them out on the "November Kit" button over there.  <-----

I will re-take the add-on kit shortly...

Oh... I almost forgot my BIG NEWS!

I'm officially shipping INTERNATIONALLY!!!  I had a great lady who emailed me and asked me if I shipped International and I would LOVE to but just haven't had the time to figure out what to do and how to go about it!  So, I asked her to help me and she did!  So, as of now... If you live outside of the U.S.  I will be accepting orders!  I haven't had a chance to set up my Paypal with Int'l shipping yet, but I will soon.  If you want to place an order right now, just email me and I'll take care of it!

Well, I'm off to keep gettting the kits together!  I don't have my darn Mail Center yet so it's still the old school way for me!  Although Rebecca has been a HUGE help!

UPDATE:  I fixed the above photo to include the vintage postcards sheet... I also forgot to mention about the Pumpkin and Tis the Season album kits!  I will have more info on those tonight and will post the kits and email those who have already expressed interest first!  I did hear back from J&J and Clear Scraps that they could do some albums for me but they still need to figure out the price.  When I hear back from them, I will let you know!

Are we all on a sugar rush??

Happy day after Halloween!  I heard from a few of you on what candy you swipe from your kids' stash but I want to hear from more of you!  I know you do it... We ALL do it... After they go to bed, you check out what they have that you want.... If they have a few... you swipe one!  Come on, be honest!!!  I was hoping for Twizlers but no such luck!!!  I guess I'm going to have to go to the grocery store and see if they have any left!  ;)-  Although I need to lose weight before the Holidays so I best not!  I  weighed myself the other day and I've almost gained 10 pounds since summertime!  YIKES!!!  I NEED TO GET ON THE TREADMILL AGAIN!!!  I am going to officially start my exercise program again on Monday!  I HAVE TO!!  I don't want to keep gaining weight right before Christmas!  And, I'm going to Italy and France next spring or summer!  I need to look good ladies!  If anyone wants to start with me, let me know!  We could start a little group!  I've decided the best time for me is in the morning so I'm going to try and do it after the girls go to school each morning.  So, in that spirit, I'm announcing my new hours of operation:  9:30am - midnight! ;)-  I am going to purposely NOT turn on my computer until AFTER I exercise!  I need to have that time in the morning.  Otherwise if I go to the computer, I'm going to see all these emails and things to do and end up staying there for the rest of the day!  That's how it is with me...  (How this subject of candy came around to this, I don't know....)

I wanted to show you a few pictures from last night though!  It was a lot of fun and the girls enjoyed it sooo much! 

 

My teenager - the angel????  Ya right! LOL!!!  Isn't that an oximoron??  No, she's a great girl and I'm so proud of the choices she is making in her life!

 

Here's my mini-me!  She didn't know what to wear so she wore a cute dress and this jacket.  She's the one making sure all of you get the right amount of stuff in your kits! ;)-

 

And here's "Alice".... She was sooo excited to wear this outfit!!!

 

She LOVED all the games the Harvest Festival had!  She made 5 of the 6 throws on this!!!  They couldn't believe it and even said only one person made all of them!  I guess I should be signing her up for sports soon!

Having fun in the jumpy house!  Those things scare me man!  She was in here will all boys and they were playing rough!  I told her to stay by the edge where I was!!! YIKES!!!

 

On every booth they had a number and a word.  You got a postcard when you came in that had them all listed out of order and you had to figure out what the whole thing said.  At the end if you figured it out, you had to say it to this lady and you got a prize.  Rebecca is always the one that wants to do this!  It was a bible verse since this was a church/school event for the community.

 

Here's my "angel" with her best bud who was a 80's girl!  Wait, that's not how I looked in the 80's is it??? lol...

 

And with her "twin angel"....  Why is she growing up so fast???  It scares me!

Well, I hope you all fun with your little ones last night!  I guess I was behind the camera the whole time!

One last thing... I am trying to clean up my scrapbook room so I can finish the Mica Snow House album!!  In this process, I am still finding a LOT of "stuff" I want to get rid of.  But,  I don't have time to make a nice little "kit", take pictures and put it up on the Kit Sale right now.  Does anyone want some "grab bags" from me?  I'd be willing to give them to you for $5.00 and I'll ship them in these jumbo size envelopes I found 15x19 so I don't think it will cost very much to send.  Let me know if you do because I'd LOVE to get my extras and misc. into the hands of you ladies who will use it!  This is stuff that is either large scraps of the papers I've used in my past kits or classes, the extra embellishments that may  not be packs and lots of odd and ends I just don't want or have time or room for anymore!
