Hi ladies, sorry I got busy today and didn't get on here sooner!
The winner of last weeks RAK is:
Congrats Theresa! Send me your address and I will get out your prize this week!
I'm not sure if I posted this month about Teresa Collins Newsletter for May but it's a GREAT one! It's got all kinds of ideas using her new Notations kits and 12x12 papers! I'm telling you, this is one of my all time FAV lines and it SO versatile. So I thought I would share with you some of the things I've made with the Notations lines:
Here's an album I designed with her Notations album kit:
The Story of Us:
Here's some of the inside pages:
Then I also made a small journal with an old hardbound book:
This is with just an old hardbound book and then I took out the pages inside and added a binding kit from Tim Holtz:
I found some journal paper that I liked in a different notebook and cut it out and added it to this journal.
Here's a look at it without the note paper inside.
This was SO fun and quite easy and now my mind is coming up with all sorts of ways to use these new binder rings from Tim!! Love his genius mind!!
I made a few other things with this line from Teresa but darn it, I can't show you because I submitted them to some magazines... (can you tell I have a hard time with that... I want to SHARE everything :)
And, as far as "sharing" goes... I have a few projects that I wanted to put up in my Etsy Shop that I just haven't been able to do yet. Tomorrow may not work either b/c I have to pick up Rebecca from "Science Camp" up in the mountains. I took her up yesterday and so my week has been cut short. Friday is also a "school trip" day for me and Isabella, so I'm hoping I can get the new items up in Etsy on Thursday. I know a few of you have asked when these items will be up and I'm sorry I just haven't had time yet.
But here's some classes coming up that you can sign up for:
The History of Us
Yes, I'm teaching this class again! It was such a GREAT class at Melrose Vintage in Arizona that I've decided to teach is closer to home! It will be a class this Summer at Paper Tales! More on the date and time coming soon!
Life of Adventure
This class is coming up soon at Paper Tales! I'm teaching this on June 4th at 11:00am and I would LOVE for you to join us! This is going to be a really GREAT class full of lots of techniques and products and I'm REALLY excited about this one! I have {loved} 7 Gypsies from the moment they said "hello" and this line from them is about my FAV line EVER from them! Don't miss this class, it's FULL of products and can be used for just about any type of theme!
And lastly, this "Artsy Journal" will be another Summertime class:
Defining Me
I don't have a date set for this but it will be sometime in July or August. Now this is a class where you will be getting "artsy/messy" and also learn some new ways to CREATE! This was one of the funnest designs I've made and quite honestly, so "freeing" in the process. I really want you to take this class and I'm figuring out how to make this available to as many people as possible! I'll share more details on that soon. (just don't get your nails done right BEFORE this class) lol...
Hope you have a GREAT Tuesday!
Hugs,
Laura

I know, I know... I'm NOT good at lists... Case in point: It's been a few days and no list!
Oh, I'm just too busy for lists! lol... I'm headed out the door soon with Scarlet to share her cute little dogginess with Isabella's class. Then I'm quick back home to get this:
So I can teach it at Paper Tales tonight! So excited, this class is going to be FUN! Working with acrylic is something I {heart} and teaching others how to make the most of it is SO fulfilling! So I will see all of you that signed up in a few hours!!
I'm also going to be bringing this with me:
This class is called "Defining ME"...
Who am I? It's a REAL question for all of us. I know this may sound weird, but I don't really "know" who I am. Do you? I know I'm BUSY always doing something. I know I'm a wife, a mother, etc.... But I really have wondered at times in my life "who am I?"
So this class will not only show you how to create a very ARTSY Journal... Hopefully this class will help ME and of course YOU ( who take this class ) a chance to "breathe" for a few hours and really take a moment to think about WHO WE ARE. I'm not going to journal in this book until AFTER the class, but I'm excited to take some time to THINK about what "defines" me. So I hope you will join in this journey...
Here's just a couple pictures of the inside:
Sorry, my camera is really bugging me lately... These pictures were taken at the same moments and they look so different! ugh... better get this fixed before our summer trips.
I'm not sure when this class will be, but I will let you know early next week. It will probably be some time in July and I will have some of these up in my Etsy shop too.
Have a GREAT weekend!
Don't forget to post a comment for the RAK on the post a couple down from this...

I finished up an album with one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE scrapbook lines:
Scarlett:
By Glitz Design , a very sweet and talented group of 3 lovely ladies! This line just says "me" all over it! It's my FAV colors all mixed together and even though this was released last year at CHA, it's a TIMELESS collection and I will be making sure I have PLENTY to last me for a LONG time! :)
So I made this album with an acrylic and chipboard album from Clear Scraps:
"You are LOVED!" I love the tabs on each page and how they were the perfect size for some of the accents Glitz had!!
They have such GREAT embellishments in this line! Lovely rub-ons, cardstock stickers and these beautiful stickers with rhinestones on them! Check out the red rose by "You"...
Such FUN products from Glitz! I'm going to put this up in my Etsy Shop soon...
Ok, I'm starting on a NEW CLASS! I'm SUPER excited and will share details and maybe a SNEAK later this week! It's going to be a very ARTSY/MESSY journal class and I SO wish I knew how to do online classes because this is one that I think a lot of you would LOVE to take "with me"... I'm going to need to look into uStream of something??
Oh, DON'T FORGET to check out the RAK on yesterday's post down below this one! You have until next "Love, Tuesday" to enter!
Have a GREAT day,
Laura
Oh, I wanted to show you my FAVORITE Scarlett ever... hehehe
I took this yesterday and she's looking so nice and clean b/c she just got a bath! She smells SO good too! Such a sweetie... She JUST turned 10 on May 11th!! xoxo

Oops... I was in bed last night and realized I had thought it was Monday, but it was actually Tuesday! lol... Which means I forgot my "Love, Tuesday" post. Not that the world is going to STOP because of it or that my blog followers will even notice, but it has become something I look forward to and it just felt weird to me that I didn't post...
So here I am today. It's a wet, rainy and dark day in So. Cal and that's pretty unusual for mid May. I'm feeling the "mood" of the day though and just like the yucky weather, I've decided to do yucky paperwork! Not something I enjoy and something I usually procrastinate on until the last possible moment (or maybe even AFTER the last possible moment :) so today is that day.
I'm trying to also get prepared for our Europe trip this summer and I can't believe how fast that is approaching! (if we even go... it's getting kind of scary to travel lately...) Anyone over in Europe have any thoughts on Americans traveling abroad? I'm kind of watching the news and waiting to make a final decision, but you also have to LIVE your life and not let the terrorists make you live in fear! I firmly believe we can NOT let that happen. But, we also have to be WISE and that's where it gets tricky... I take comfort in know that the Lord is in control though and we can trust in Him alone! So we will keep praying and make a decision based on everything soon.
In the meantime, I can't believe the girls only have about 4 weeks left of school! That means I only have 4 more weeks of uninterrupted school days to get stuff done... Come on, you know you're thinking the same thing... right? We enjoy summer and I love spending time with the girls; not having to wake up early, no plans on some days, fun plans on other days, not having to make school lunches, no homework to deal with. Love it! But I really enjoy my days at home while the kids are in school too.
So that means I need to start making a list. I seriously am list deprived. I KNOW I need to make them, I know my memory is not so good, I know this would help and yet... I DON'T make lists. Why is that? Am I rebelling from some early childhood issue? Am I SO forgetful that I even forget to make lists? Is it my mom telling me to write lists that makes me NOT to want to write lists? (sorry mom, love ya :)- Please help. I need to be a list maker! I read my friends blogs (i.e. Heidi Sonboul ) and she makes GREAT lists... Ok, I'm going to start making LISTS. Maybe if I make FUN lists that will help. Maybe I'm looking at "lists" all wrong. I think of lists as "things I HAVE to do, but don't want to" . Maybe I should look at lists in a different light? What's a list YOU would WANT to make? If I make a "happy list" maybe that will help me make the "to-do" list seem easier? Yup... a HAPPY LIST is on it's way!
I'd love to hear what lists you make.
Let's make this FUN and I'll even through in a RAK! If you leave a comment on THIS post and help me with my list deficiency by sharing ideas, tips, list ideas I will put your name in the running for a FUN RAK! Let's say you have until NEXT "Love, Tuesday's" post. Ok? This sounds fun and I can't wait to hear your ideas!
See if I made lists, then I would know what I planted here:
And for the life of me I can't remember! lol... It's some type of flower, I know that. I also know it was on a "whim" that I planted these seeds. In fact, is was when I was cleaning out my scrapbooking room that I came across the seed packet. It was in one of the cupboards with some of my small posts and I just thought I'd go outside, and dump them into this post that just had soil and see if they would grow! I really didn't think they would. I figured the seeds were REALLY old but I'd give them a chance and look it here... they are growing! So I guess I will keep watering them and see what they are. I probably should go through and take some of them out since they are looking a bit cramped in this pot, but if they survived my dumping, hopefully some will survive blooming too... hehehe
Now what else is "blooming" is LOTS of floral scrapbooking designs! I've been working away on some designs for Clear Scraps, Teresa Collins and Webster's Pages lately that I haven't been able to show you...
Well, I'm going to share some of them now! Clear Scraps asked me to design a couple classes for them, so if you want a SNEAK peek at there classes, here they are:
This album I've made with the new Basic Grey "Hello Luscious" line and Clear Scraps "sassy" album that I turned upside down so you can hang it from one of these 7 Gypsies stands or any other stand if you wanted to. I'm not sure where Clear Scraps will be teaching this class, but I think it may be at CHA Summer and at some of the many traveling shows they attend! So find out if Clear Scraps will be in YOUR area soon and go take one of my classes... and say HI to Susan if you do!
Here is another class they will be teaching with this new line from Pink Paislee called Butterfly Garden! It's a beautiful line and you get to use LOTS of inks, PP's stamps and you'll learn some fun techniques with Clear Scraps acrylic! (Notice the "Believe" word in acrylic, that will be FUN to make... trust me!)
Here's another close-up:
You'll also get to make the dimensional butterflies on the cover! Find out more on Clear Scraps blog soon...
Then since I had another "sassy" album from Clear Scraps, I decided to whip up something with that and Webster's Pages. For some reason I've been in a "yellow" mood lately and so I dug through ALL my Webster's Pages goodies and just found ALL things yellow, cream and white. Then I just went to town with some fun embellishments and some REALLY cute stickers from Martha Stewart and came up with "A beautiful day..." album:
I just LOVE how "cheery" this is! The yellow and cream with touches of white just make me happy! Can you see the cute little bicycle and kite from Martha Stewart? I just love the fun look of this album!
Here's a close-up:
I may put this up in my Etsy Shop soon since I didn't put any pictures in it and I have WAY too many albums as it is!
Well, I think I've played with Clear Scraps quite a bit lately and had a BLAST doing it, but I'm back to some other projects and I'll share those later this week. I have another album I'm going to put in my Etsy shop with Glitz Design and I'll share that as well so you can see it.
I'll also share my HAPPY LIST this week... :)
Have a GREAT Wednesday,
Laura
Don't forget those "list tips" to be entered into the RAK! I also have some of the kits in the post below still available and they are LOADED with beautiful Prima products!!

Here's a headband I made using Webster's Pages trims and embellishments and I thought I would share a quick and easy tutorial on it:
If you've followed my blog you'll know that my daughter Victoria is starting an Etsy shop with handmade items and she's made about 10 headbands so far! She's about ready to put them in her shop and I'll share the link soon, but I was INSPIRED by her to make one with ALL Webster's Pages!!
So for this headband, I just bought a grey headband at my local craft store and then got out some misc. Webster's Pages goodies. I liked the lace trim you see here and just adhered that down the middle of the headband with a glue gun.
Them I took the same trim and made a rosette flower with it by twisting it and shaping it into a flower with a felt circle and the glue gun. (I wish I had had my Glubbers from Cosmo Cricut that day)
Then I cut some grey BLOOMERS (about 3 flowers together), a pink flower and some Sparklers and adhered them onto the headband towards the middle/top of one side of the headband. (You can test out where you want the flowers by trying it on first)
And Viola' ~ You have a beautiful headband you made YOURSELF!!
Enjoy ~ Laura
P.S. I'm going to have my 1st Kit Club KIT in a LONG time up on HERE shortly, so come on back by later today!!

I hope all of you ladies had a GREAT Mother's Day!
We had a nice day going to church and then to lunch and I just relaxed the rest of the day! I told the girls they were on their own for dinner (daddy was writing a speech to be given in a couple days) and I took a little NAP and then I worked on a couple projects. Nice.
This week I'm working on a couple "freelance" projects and it's nice to get to work on some other things. One is working with Pink Paislee's new butterfly line and the other was with Basic Grey. Not lines I bought myself so it was nice to get to play with them! I will ask if I can share some pictures soon. I also sent off a 2-page layout to Creating Keepsakes! That was exciting because it will be my 1st time in CK!! So it pays to keep submitting ladies!
Oh, my Etsy Shop is going well! I'm excited because I have about 15 or so things in there now and it's been getting some BUZZ and some sales, so that is EXCITING! If you haven't checked it out, you can follow the link above.
I know I've talked about putting all my kits in my Etsy shop now, and I AM... But I think I still want to have some kits on this blog too. So I think I will create another "Kit Club Page" to the left <----- where it says "Kit Club" and just put some of the things I have in my Etsy shop in there too! That way for people who come here and see that, they may not know I also have an Etsy shop. (and for the life of my I can't seem to get the right links up on my side bar! :) So from time-t0-time you can check that link as well if you want to find my kits/project kits.
And..
Speaking of KITS. I want to do another KIT! I mean just a regular "kit club" kit and I'm going to be putting that one up HERE and on Etsy this week! I think I told you that I have Prima's new Madeline collection? Well, I was going to make it into a "project kit" but there is just WAY TO MUCH to do that. I have SO much I wanted to put in that kit, that I think it would be better to have it as a regular kit. So I will have more details on that tomorrow! It will not be a "REVEAL" type of thing, it will just go up on here and my etsy shop and you will be able to purchase it whenever you want until they are gone. So more on that tomorrow and I will probably put it up for sale tomorrow as well.
Well, I'm headed off to a Spring Musical for Isabella shortly...
Have a GREAT Tuesday,
Laura
Here's a SNEAK of a album I made for Webster's Pages that may be up in my Etsy shop soon:

What a wonderful weekend at Melrose Vintage!
We had SO much fun and Diane and Wendy were such WONDERFUL hosts! Thank you ladies and thank you for such a FUN time!!
Here's some pictures from the weekend, starting with the beautiful drive to AZ...
Well, beautiful sunset... long drive and LOTS of bugs on the windshield. lol
We arrived pretty late and had a quick dinner and then off to bed to get ready for the Scrapbook.com video shoot the next morning.
This is my second time filming at video a Scrapbook.com and they are all SO nice over there and made me feel right at home once again. I did a tutorial on the new Clear Scraps 12x12 Top Loading albums and I think you will like it. I will give you all the details of when it's LIVE on Scrapbook.com so you can see it. I also brought a few other samples that I've made with Clear Scraps so they wanted to do another video (much shorter) with some quick ideas to inspire you to use acrylic. So there will be TWO video's coming soon!
Then after the video shoot Cindy and I went to Scrapbook Etc. store to check it out {heart} all their fabric. It's a huge store with LOTS of goodies! Then after we shopped for a while, we headed over to Melrose Vintage to start setting up Friday nights class. And wouldn't you know... I forgot to take pictures! I may get some from Cindy later, but the pictures I have are from Saturday. I think the class went well though and it seemed like they liked it and we all sure had FUN. I would LOVE to do another event at Melrose Vintage and will see if we can come up with something later this year!
Here's a montage of photo's from Melrose Vintage:
Cindy and I with the mother/daughter store owners, Diane & Wendy!
One of the ladies using Donna Salazars Distress it all
Part of the beautiful store! If you live in AZ or just traveling there, make sure you check out Melrose Vintage. It's a HUGE store with lots of PRETTY things!!
This is the part of the store they set up for the classes.
More of the scrapooking/altered art area of the store!
So again, you can see how BEAUTIFUL the store is, so go on over to Melrose Vintage if you can and tell them Laura sent you!
I told you I would put any class kits leftover up on Etsy and I did have some class kits left so I've put them up in my Etsy Shop Make sure you grab one of those if you were interested in the classes but couldn't make the long drive...
I've also put some other class kits in my Etsy shop and will have a couple more up there tomorrow. Be sure to drop on by and TELL YOUR FRIENDS!! I know this "Etsy" thing is just starting for me and is different than the normal "kit club" reveal so I would REALLY appreciate any help telling everyone about my Etsy shop!
Lastly, I'm working on one more project kit before I take a break for the Summer! It will be with the GORGEOUS Madeline collection from Prima and I've just kitted it today and plan to play with it tonight. I'm not sure what type of project it will be, but I will show you a SNEAK once I have that done and then it will be going in my Etsy shop as well.
Have a GREAT Tuesday,
Laura
