Ok, I've just spoken to Michelle at Paper Tales and we have decided to change the class date to November 16th from 6 - 9 pm.  That's a FRIDAY NIGHT, 3 weeks from TODAY.

I'm SO sorry about all the confusion, but there is a party planned on the 10th that wasn't on the books and then when we thought about the 9th,  but that was only 2 weeks from today and not enough time to plan for and sign up for everyone.  So we pushed it back a week to Friday, the 16th.

I hope you all can STILL make the class, but if not I will have a few December Daily Kits in my Etsy Shop later today!

December Daily Class

Hi ladies,

 

Here's some SNEAKS of my December Daily Class at Paper Tales.

It's going to be a FUN class in their BRAND NEW, NEWLY EXPANDED CLASS ROOM!  It was scheduled for Saturday, November 10th, but may be moved to Friday night, November 9th because of a scheduling conflict at the store.  I'm sorry I don't have a concrete date, but will come on here as soon as I know and UPDATE the details...

I am LOVING this "not so little" girl today:

 

Isabella turned 8 today!!  

I don't know where the time went, but she is leaving the "little girl" stage behind and it's a little sad for me.  She's my baby, and I can't imagine not having her snuggle in my arms still...

 

So BIG Birthday wishes to my sweet Isabella! Love you FOREVER... xoxo

Double duty today...

I forgot that I wanted to mention a class I'll be teaching at Paper Tales November 10th at 1:30pm!  It's my 2nd Annual December Daily Class there!  I'm SO excited to do this again and it will be in Paper Tales BRAND NEW classroom!  If you haven't been to PT lately, make sure you GO because they have remodeled, added double the space and have a GREAT new classroom area!!  

So here's a SNEAK at the class kit for the December Daily Class:

I'm working on the December Daily Album as we speak, but here's a sampling of just SOME of the items in the kit!  I still have more goodies on their way from my Etsy friends, like German Glass glitter, German tiny red mushrooms, vintage style "forget me nots", Silver Dresden and LOTS more... (also not seen are tons of Washi Tape and buttons from My Minds Eye)

If you're not familiar with a "December Daily" album, I think Ali Edwards started it years back.  It's basically an album that your start BEFORE December 1st so it's ready to go.  Then each day (or however many days you want to do it) you keep a record of the Holidays!  You can keep your ticket stubs to the Nutcracker Ballet, the FAV Christmas movie you saw, a trip to the Christmas Tree lot.... ANYTHING!  It's a wonderful way to record the month and all the activities you do during this FUN month!  This is my 4th December Daily I've done for our family and I have to say it's really fun to display each year out on a table or up on a shelf so you can have family and friends can look through them.  Anyways, I do know Ali has a kit this year through Studio Calico and it's GREAT!  I'm not sure if there are any left, but I know it's around $90.  My class is going to be under $50 and it will have LOTS of cute stuff in it too.  

So if you want to join us, this class is going to be full of GOOD TIMES!  Again, it's on Saturday, November 10th at 1:30pm.  There will be some TREATS to eat, some GIVEAWAYS from this years CREATIVE RETREAT and LOADS & LOADS OF FUN!

Love, Tuesday...

 I thought FALL had arrived, but I'm sweating today in this 93degree weather!  What is going on?  Just the other day I notice the leaves starting to change, but I've got to believe they are SO confused, who knows what's going to happen...

I want a FALL like this...

But I guess I better move to Colorado or Michigan or Vermont then.  (which isn't too far from what I'd love to do anyways... so tired of So. Cal)

 

So instead I will think of Italy and dream of my time there.  In fact, I was just editing some photos of the Creative Retreat in Italy and I came across a little bit of Fall Foilage in Italy!  Check it out:

This is the ancient wall surrounding the old town Bergamo.  It's a GREAT place to walk and enjoy the magnificant view below.

Here's some of beautiful ladies in Sala Comacina on our lunch date.  The island across is definately starting to change.

So I guess the Fall Foilage reaches the shores of Lake Como too!  Love it.  I've never really seen many photos of Lake Como with the Fall colors...  We were there in the middle of September, so I would LOVE to see photos of it in it's prime Fall Foilage colors!

Well,  my mind is in a "fog" a bit today and I am feeling tired so I'll sign off here for Love, Tuesday...  I've noticed this is happening more and more in the afternoons.  I'm sluggish around 1pm and feel like my bed is calling me for a little nap! Anyone else feeling this way?  I think I'll start keeping a journal on my "moods and foods"  so I can see if there is a correlation.  Anywhoo... more info that you bargained for I'm sure.  :)

Happy Monday... it's OFFICIALLY SIGN UP DAY!

TODAY is the 15th of October, and the OFFICIAL SIGN UP DAY for our 2nd Annual Creative Retreat in Italy!!

So for those of you who haven't RESERVED YOUR SPOT for next summers Creative Retreat in Italy, you can go to the REGISTRATION PAGE on the Event Blog here and click on either the FULL PAYMENT or PAYMENT PLAN BUTTON.

I have about 6 spots left and over 26 ladies on the "WAIT" list, so if you're interested PLEASE SIGN UP SOON!  I REALLY don't want to say NO to anyone and I am in the process of figuring out if I can accept more than 20 ladies this time, but at this point I'm not sure and WILL have to stop at 20 until I know for sure...

For those of you who DID RESERVE YOUR SPOT already, I will be emailing you today to ask a few questions and then once I hear back, I will invoice you through PayPal!  No worries on loosing your spot, just need to confirm a few things before I can invoice you.

ALSO, those who are RESERVED or will be signing up TODAY, I am starting a new Yahoo Group for this event!  This will be a GREAT place for us to introduce ourselves, get to know each other and it will be where I post all my updates and information about the trip.  It worked out GREAT last year and it really helped the ladies "meet" each other before the event and feel like they already knew everyone!

By the way, some ladies have asked me if they could bring a spouse or family or a friend...  YES, you may!  I just need you to email me and let me know so I can go over your accommodation choices.  I know this is SUMMERTIME and you may want to include my Creative Retreat into your summer vacation plans around Europe (I know I would) so that is totally fine.   I just need to know so I can make sure you are all together and find out if they want to take the classes and/or enjoy the excursions with us.

I'm back from another trip and excited to say...

I have NO PLANS for another trip until NEXT YEARS Creative Retreat in Italy !!! (BTW, it's selling out quickly... it's only been a week and I am over half full!  So sign up SOON if you're interested in joining us)

I had a great time with my hubby in Arizona last week though as we enjoyed the Inc. 5000 Conference and Awards Gala.  So proud of my hubby for being on the list of the Fastest Growing Companies in America 3 YEARS in a ROW!  

Here we are at the last nights Gala.  It was a fun night and was surprised to hear the speaker tell Lance and I to STAND UP as he talked about some things Lance is doing for his company!  WOW, out of 1,000's of businesses there, THAT was really cool!

I also had some time to enjoy some Arizona fun in the sun...  I have really come to like the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and feel like I'm getting to know my way around.  I did a little "scouting" while I was there and I will ANNOUNCE something I've had in the works for a while pretty soon, so stay TUNED...

The first day was a bit of rest and relaxing in my room as I watched a movie and journaled about my trip to Italy!  I don't know about you, but I feel like it's a luxury to be by myself for the day and just sit in a hotel room and scrapbook! No clothes to wash, dog to take outside, food to prepare, house to clean... LOVED it.  It's SO fun to do and I think I need a girls weekend like this some time in the near future...

Went to Einstien Bages one morning...Love Einstein Bagels!  They have the best egg sandwiches, SO which we had them here in So. Cal!

Had a TON of fun here!  Love this store.  I taught here about a year ago and just lovee it, and the sweet mother/daughter duo that own it!

Oh, look who I found!  Wendy is so cute and such a fun girl!!  We might have something we're working on together... more on that soon!

Melrose Vintage is not only a scrapbook store, but a totally Shabby Chic HEAVEN!~  If you're in the Phoenix area you really have to go see their store... and say HI to Wendy and Diane and tell them I sent you!  :)

We also had some free time and went to Dave & Busters!  How funny that two grown adults are playing games at a adult version of Chuckie Cheeses, but we had a BLAST!  Although I kept thinking Isabella would LOVE this place and we plan to take her to one on her Birthday in a few weeks...  I've never been to a D&B, but how fun to be a kid again, even if for just a bit!

The last day we relaxed by the pool before we STRESSED out at the movies.  (We saw Taken II and I don't really recommend it for a nice time at the movies) But it was the perfect weather that day.  It has been SO hot in So. Cal and here in Arizona, but on Saturday the weather just flipped a switch and turned to Fall.  I LOVE it.

Dinner was at our FAV place in Phoenix, Chelsea's Kitchen, and I remembered that night that I had discovered INSTAGRAM at this restaurant about a year and a half ago!  So it was sort of fitting that I was "instagraming" from the restaurant that night... :)

But now I'm back home from the desert...

Going through all my Creative Retreat stuff and taking care of this rugrat:

Dulce is a PILL and I had no idea she would take some much work!  Signing her up for puppy kindergarten is TOP on my list tomorrow!

I also am going to get all my kits in order, open up my Etsy shop again and then have a SALE!  It's been a while since I had any kind of KIT SALE, so I'm ready for one.  I will post on here when I'm ready to open it up.  Not sure if I'll do it on this blog or in my Etsy shop, but I'll let you know either way...

I'm gearing up for some classes locally too and I'll blog about those when they are done and scheduled.  I plan on doing another December Daily class at Paper Tales and I've been daydreaming about a wall collage type of class, so I'll share a little SNEAK when I'm done with that too.

Lastly, I haven't been sharing much this last year on the CREATIVE side...  I was obviously busy with the Creative RETREAT, but I have been creative throughout the year and I wanted to share a few magazines that I've been published in.  It's hard not sharing things with YOU and I will tell you that this next couple weeks I want to just get in my scrappy room and see what happens and then SHARE with you all about it!

Did you think I forgot about this blog??

Ya, you'd be right.  I just can't seem to keep up with my travels, (more on that in a minute) my Creative Retreat blog AND this blog!  So this poor thing has been sadly neglected.  

But I'm here now and I want to share some EXCITING NEWS!!

As most of you know, I just got back from my Creative Retreat in Italy.  It was AMAZING.  A year a planning paid off and I have to say I was BEYOND blessed by the ladies at the event, the teachers teaching and the opportunity to share my LOVE of Italy with these ladies!!

 

Here's some of the ladies with me at Villa Balbianello on Lake Como.  We toured this beautiful villa and the lake before eating a wonderful lunch lakeside at La Tirlindona.

The lovely lakefront dining for our lunch.  This is such a peaceful place and the setting is just breathtaking.

That EXCITING NEWS I mentioned before is that I'm doing this AGAIN!!

Yes, next Summer, June 22-29th, 2013 I'm having my 2nd Creative Retreat right here in beautiful Lake Como, Italy!!

I'm SO excited and I hope you will consider joining me.  It truly is an incredible week of enjoying Italy, creating art and relaxing in this beautiful location!
