This has been such a fast paced year... I know they don't go any faster that the 24 hours in a day, but as the girls get older I'm finding there is SO much more going on and it just seems to fly by. I look at Victoria who is 18 now and I just can't believe this is the last Christmas she will be home as a High Schooler! It's time to let the bird FLY and I'm already getting teary eyes about it.
She has such BIG plans for her life and has a heart for Italy (even more than ME I think :) so it's hard knowing she may be very far from us one of these days.
This week she surprised her grandma (my mom) to a concert! She got tickets for her and my mom to see the Celtic Woman in concert in Orange County on Tuesday! They both LOVE this type of music and have both seen them on the PBS specials. So Victoria was SO excited to buy tickets and surprise her with this.
So since I didn't want her driving home late at night by herself, I drove her down to meet my mom and we all went to dinner before. Then I drove them to the concert and went back to South Coast Plaza to shop. (She wanted it to be JUST her and her grandma)
They had a GREAT time and it was such a special memory for both of them. My mom had NEVER been to a concert before! I can't believe that, but she really can't remember going to one...
And I got to shop while they were enjoying their time together!
I haven't been to South Coast Plaza in years. We used to live close to it and it was the "go to" mall for us, but now it's a real TREAT to go there. I just strolled around for a couple yours and window shopped a bit. Some of those stores I don't have the guts to even GO in... :)
But one such window was AMAZING.
It was calling to me... the angels were singing... and I wanted that pink purse! This of course did not happen, I'm sure it was a couple THOUSAND $$$, but I had to take a picture of these beauties and dream about them... and Instagram them too. hehehe I know you can't see them that well, but here's a close-up I found on their website:
It's SO PINK... and I love the different look! It kind of haves the look of a cableknit sweater. Anyways, I'm dreaming about it still but that's as far as it's going to go.
I found some pretty aweseom iPad covers at Bloomingdales too:
It was a fun night and I know my mom had a GREAT time with Victoria and she deserves it! She hasn't had many times in her life like this where it's all about her and not about caring for someone. She never complains, but I know she will treasure this night with Victoria forever.
I hope you are enjoying your Christmastime or Hanukkah! Have a GREAT weekend coming up.
Hugs,
Laura
